i'm in love with a serial killer

think dexter is the greatest american series ever. as icing on the cake, this hottie plays the main character. sighss

micheal C hall as Dexter Morgan. i've always been a sucker for bad boy looks. he's so dope and i'm so in love with this character, albeit him being a serial killer but a good principled one (he kills only bad people) with style. so mysterious, charismatic and so damn sexyyy.

anyway, for those who appreciate this kinda shows, here's a lil synopsis for you.

Based on Jeff Lindsay's novels Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter this crime thriller follows Dexter Morgan. Dexter is a forensic blood spatter expert for the Miami Dade Police Department. He is the main support for his sister. He has a steady girlfriend, with two kids who adore him. He also has an active "night life". Based on a code instilled in him by his foster father, Harry, he hunts down people who have escaped justice and makes sure they don't get away with a crime again.

trust me, it's awesome. it's deep as the watchers get to analyze dexter's character through his monologues, so we get to witness his inner feelings and thoughts. omg, thoughts of a serial killer, how can that not excite you! his monologues are so deep and it makes you reflect and ponder at times, mostly ironic and sometimes humourous.

blood, sometimes it sets my teeth on edge, other times it helps me control it's chaos -dexter morgan <3

"If the eyes are the windows to the soul, and grief is the door - as long as it's closed, it's the barrier between knowing and not knowing. Walk away from it and it stays closed forever. But open it and walk through it, and pain becomes truth. -dexter morgan

time heals every wound

they say time and tide waits for no man. so? which man waits for time and tide anyway. exactly! i don't get how we are taught and drilled to perceive time as a curse, as in, if we don't do what HAS TO BE DONE now, we are just wasting time. but the thing is, what is it that we HAVE to do in this world to NOT was time?

because i had this abundance of time in my hands for the past 2 months as i wait for uni to start, i have had the priviledge to trivialize it. had the priviledge to just WASTE it all, just like how the grown-ups will say. but hey, let me tell you, i think i just had the most fruitful worth mentioning 2 months; just being a charity volunteer with the kids and then travelling, experiencing and appreciating things. the thing about this harsh reality people so frequently talk about is that, we are in constant need to prove ourselves, to achieve that string of As, to be the gold medalist in a race, to be the better son or daughter. and with that, there has got to be absolutely zero amount of time for us to sit back and appreciate the little fairy-like things that come our way. with that "trivial" 2 months, i've got the chance to sit back and in return learnt so much, appreciated so much and met significant people briefly, but they are the ones that leave a huge impact on my being. and i can only wish to share with you the beauty of what i've learnt that intoxicates me. also, i've learnt that i know so little about myself. but i know that i have alot of passion, wants and dreams penned up inside of me and i know that i am afraid that they will elude me, then i'll be left in hopelessness.

so this is a toast, a wake up call for i will let NO life obstacle snatch away my passion, my hopes and my dreams, whatever they are.

so there you go. for these past 2 months, i have learnt that i know only so little about who i am and what i am capable of being. a rather solid discovery, dont you think so? at least it's a right start. sigh, i don't know why we bother about the intricacies of life so much...

none of us come out of it alive anyway.

so just live. if you know what i mean.

to my bestie xiuxiufi

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY!

this is one post filled with love and appreciation that i have the pleasure and chance to be called your best friend. when we were 15, best friends were just labels as we never knew the immense weight it carries yet so fragile in every sense. i've watched you grow just as you've watched me, we've made mistakes and learn from them. definitely hurt one another during harsh times but at the end of it all, what REALLY counts is that we come back to one another and without words, know that we mean a fucking hell lot to each other. so thank you, for just being YOU, for having such a giving character, for always protecting me, for diluting my insanity, for accompanying me sulk bout my leg. i love dove you, and this is getting too romantic. haha! will never forget how we went down WOMBATS RAMBLE together for the first time, we took 40 damn minutess cos you kept falling!! hahahahaa, i laugh and smile at the thought of our adventure, you know that's one of the adventures i'd tell my kids about. enjoyyyyy the pics:) huggies, have a great year ahead.

who are we to decide?

So who has got away with murder? Not, of course, the British government. They merely covered up, as one does, the offensive corpses. Though not literally. That was done by person or persons unknown. So who has committed murder? Not, of course, the highly respectable firm of KDH Pharmaceutical, which has enjoyed record profits this quarter, and has now licensed ZimbaMed of Harare, to continue testing Dypraxa in Africa. No, there are no murders in Africa. Only regrettable deaths. And from those deaths we derive the benefits of civilization, benefits we can afford so easily... because those lives were bought so cheaply.

your velvet touch damned my iron clad control

such beauty exists, look at his strides, god-like. and apparently he was "tired" when he did this, insanity. 19.19 for 200m and 9.58 for 100m in 2 days. i AM going to watch this fuckin epic sprint king in the London olympics no matter what it takes!

cant fucking wait for the 4X100m finals. baton passing is an art. an art which has been daunting the american 4X100 relay team since the olympics, they were DQ-ed for their final pass between Shawn Crawford and Darvis Patton. apparently they exchanged the baton before passing zone. btw jamaica is ranked 7th so they will not get favourable lanes, but with bolt and powell, should be fine. gaahh! cant waitt

and of course, my fav jeremy wariner!! he got second tho, but i have always loved the way he strides. but these dudes gotta train harder in case usain bolt decides to conquer all the sprint events. i have a feeling he would and bring sprinting to a whole new level. but then again, 400m is torturous.

what would you have done?

i've been the best physio patient, doubling every exercise and all the therapists in SJMC enjoy "torturing" me because they know how desperate i am to strengthen my legs to withstand the next 8 months without an ACL. i am now able to walk with a limp without crutches but the doctor says, crutches for 8 weeks. So, that means, i'm gonna do my uni fresher's orientation with crutches!! how lame is that. i swore to myself, no self pity. just gonna work those hamstring until the doctor harvests them for my knee reconstruction. heard it's gonna be a super painful surgery but i'll worry bout that in 8 months.

right, i miss australia so much. it was sucha perfect trip! it was always my dream to travel before uni. i cant help but notice the number of times i travelled to camberwell to this itallian restaurant called sophias with different groups of friends who all wanted to bring me there. enjoyed the journey and company, but food wise there's nothing to shout but i m not a huge fan of itallian food anyway. managed to find a nice "camera spot" at camberwell station, and so i made it a point to take memorable group pictures there whenever i pass that spot.

think this was my 3rd day in melb. with minfin, jase and jiahlit!

IB crew!
